“Really? Another picture of me?” - Garrett most weeks

If you’ve known me in real life over the past twenty years, you probably wouldn’t have guessed I’d end up here—writing a healthy living publication. I was the fast food girl, didn’t think twice about ingredients or products, and running more than a mile? Not happening.

I’m still working through plenty of those habits. I still get overwhelmed by all the noise—the information, the “must-haves,” the pressure to do it all perfectly. That’s actually a big part of why Woo exists: to make this whole thing feel simpler, more doable, and rooted in what’s actually accessible here in Houston.

What’s made the biggest difference is the people around me. My accidental Woo model (sorry, babe) has always been active and a great cook, and I’ve got friends who are constantly moving, trying, and learning alongside me. That kind of environment makes this way of living feel less like a chore and more like something you grow into together.

I hope you have that too. And if you don’t yet, my goal is that Woo can help you find it—or at least point you toward a community that makes all of this feel a little more natural, a little more sustainable, and a lot less overwhelming.

4 Ways We’re Being Intentional This Summer

This guide is a simple reset for how to approach summer—especially in a place like Houston where it can easily feel overwhelming. Instead of overhauling routines or adding more to your plate, it focuses on a few intentional shifts that actually make a difference: rethinking sun exposure, being smarter about pool days, choosing skill-based activities, slowing down with simple outdoor meals, and swapping in cleaner, high-impact products. Nothing complicated, just small, doable choices that help the season feel a little better, a little slower, and a lot more like summer.

ICYMI: True Classic, A Giveaway, and Guides!

Instagram post

Garrett and I were randomly stopped at the mall last month and ended up filming this fun little video for a brand called True Classic. Not something I can personally vouch for from a holistic standpoint—but it was a fun, unexpected moment I wanted to share.

The best part of it all was meeting Matt, who’s behind @bestday.tv. His whole mission is about showing up for people who could use a little extra light—surprising them in really meaningful ways.

And… we may or may not be cooking up a little something with him. I’ll share more in a few months.

The Key to Better aging: More NAD+

Most skincare works on the surface. Aramore goes where real aging begins: the basal layer of the skin, where new cells form. Backed by decades of research from Harvard and MIT scientists, Aramore is the first topical system designed to support skin’s NAD+ — the molecule your cells rely on for repair, energy, and resilience.

As NAD+ naturally declines with age, visible changes follow: dullness, uneven tone, fine lines, and loss of firmness. Aramore’s unique complex of NAD+ precursors, ketones, and fatty acids helps replenish cells at the source for skin that acts healthier and younger.

Clinically shown to improve tone, radiance, smoothness, and firmness as soon as 28 days.
