Meet Tayler + Her Wellness Favorites
Q: Tell us about your journey into integrative nutrition and hormone health coaching.
Hi, I’m Tayler (Tay)! I’m an Integrative Nutrition & Hormone Health Coach, and for most of my twenties, I didn’t feel well. I was dealing with bloating, burnout, and hormone imbalances while working a high-stress engineering career, doing everything I thought was “healthy,” but still feeling off. When I started learning about gut health, nutrition, and hormone balance, everything shifted. After navigating my own health challenges, I earned my certifications through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and transitioned into coaching full-time, work that feels deeply aligned with who I am.
Q: Who do you work with and what’s your approach?
I work with women navigating gut and hormone imbalances, things like PCOS, Hashimoto’s, cycle irregularities, bloating, and burnout. My approach is root-cause and highly personalized. I don’t believe in quick fixes. I look at patterns, connect the dots, and help women understand what their body actually needs so they can feel steady, energized, and supported.
Q: What’s something people are often surprised to learn about working with a nutrition coach?
Honestly, how powerful food really is. Food can either support healing—or quietly keep you inflamed, depleted, and stuck. That was one of the biggest awakenings in my own journey.
What also surprises people is just how bio-individual it all is. One person’s medicine can be another person’s trigger, which is why I focus so much on understanding your unique body—your gut health, hormones, stress load, and nutrient needs. Working with me isn’t about a meal plan—it’s about strategy, personalization, and learning how to work with your body instead of against it.
Q: What’s a “healthy” trend you secretly wish would go away and one you hope sticks around?
One trend I wish would slow down is the blanket push for green powders and supplements without understanding your individual body first. I see so many people spending money on products they think are helping, when in reality they may be masking or even worsening the root issue. Bio-individuality matters, and without proper testing or context, more isn’t always better.
A trend I hope sticks around? Sauna use. I’m a big advocate for it. Sweating is such a powerful (and underrated) way to support detox, circulation, and overall resilience. It’s simple, effective, and something most of us could benefit from doing more consistently.
Q: Outside of food, what’s one daily habit you believe makes the biggest difference in someone’s health?
Getting outside, hands down. Even a short walk or a few minutes in the sun can make a huge difference in your mood, hormones, sleep, and overall well-being.
We spend so much time indoors that we forget how regulating and grounding natural light and fresh air really are. I always encourage clients to aim for 10–15 minutes outside each day and just notice how they feel. It’s such a simple shift, but it creates a powerful ripple effect.
Q: What are a few of your go-to wellness habits?
I always start my day with protein before coffee—it makes a huge difference in my energy and hormones
I focus on building balanced meals with protein, healthy fats, and fiber
I try to get outside daily, even if it’s just 10–15 minutes in the sun
I’m intentional with supplements—what works for one person may not work for another
I love incorporating sauna and sweating to support detox and overall resilience
Small, consistent shifts really do add up and I’m passionate about helping women find what works for their body.
