In Houston, our cars are practically second homes—between commutes, kid pickups, and weekend errands, we spend a lot of time inside them. But traditional cleanings often use harsh chemicals that stick around, turning your car into a rolling cocktail of synthetic scents and toxins.
That’s why we sat down with Kevin, owner of Aloha Auto Spa, to learn more about how his Houston-based shop offers non-toxic cleaning options, steam detailing, and customizable care that helps keep your car clean and chemical-free.
Deal Alert! Aloha is offering 20% off any service now through the end of October. Use code WOO.

Kevin and his team make the process easy and are ready to customize your wash.
Meet Kevin from Aloha Auto Spa
Born and raised in Houston, Kevin has been keeping cars clean since 2010. What started with one car wash over a decade ago has grown into a string of thoughtfully designed auto spa locations across the city. And here’s what makes Aloha Auto Spa stand out—Kevin has always believed that clean shouldn’t come at the expense of your health.
Aloha’s Non-Toxic Offerings
Aloha offers non-toxic cleaning options by request, and their go-to method? Using products of your choice and steam. It’s chemical-free, highly effective, and perfect for breaking down dirt, oil, and stains—inside and out.
From the moment your car is dropped off, the team gets to work with compressed air to loosen debris, followed by high-powered vacuums, and a full wipe-down using non-toxic cleaners and fresh microfiber towels. It's a completely customizable experience—just ask, or even bring your own products if you prefer!

Kevin’s Health Hacks
What’s one health habit or routine that makes a big difference in your life?
K: Stretching! This is a game changer, probably beacuse I’ve never had to, but as the years keep adding up - it’s become a daily routine.
If you had a whole Saturday free, what would be your ideal wellness day around town?
K: Waking up at sunrise and going to the gym, then making a healthy breakfast before going to the lake or beach. I am a water lover, so anything that has to do with water… count me in!
Non-Toxic Auto Detailing: Additional Things to Consider
Interior Cleaning Products: Avoid traditional cleaners with synthetic fragrances, ammonia, or harsh solvents. Opt for plant-based or unscented, non-toxic alternatives.
Air Quality: Ditch chemical air fresheners and choose charcoal bags, essential oil diffusers, or simply air out your car regularly to reduce VOC buildup.
Upholstery & Surface Contact: Surfaces like steering wheels, seats, and handles are high-touch zones—ensure these are cleaned with safe, residue-free products, especially if kids ride in the car.
Cabin Air Filter: Regularly replace your cabin air filter to minimize allergens, pollutants, and particulates circulating through your AC system.
Plastic & Off-Gassing: Be mindful of vinyl seat covers, rubber floor mats, and dashboard protectants that may release harmful chemicals—look for low-VOC or naturally derived options.
