A picture just to make me laugh…

Well friends, it's been a week. Between a Facebook hack and some funds wiped from our business account, I'm arriving in your inbox a little battle-worn but still standing. Fun times over here. 🙃

On a real note: one of the easiest ways you can support Woo is by clicking on our weekly advertiser (logo above) and showing them some love. We earn a small kickback, and it genuinely keeps this little publication alive. Every click matters more than you know.

All that to say, this week's issue is a lighter one. I pulled together a personal travel diary from a few days my daughter and I spent in California, soaking up sun and making memories. Writing it was a good little reset for me in the middle of a tense week back home in the real stressors of life - I hope it brings you some joy too!

Thanks for being on this scrappy journey with me. 🤍

Travel Diary: Our Weekend in Sunny California

My girl and I ran away to California for a few days. The boys were off on their own adventure, so we decided to make our own fun — and it was really special. One-on-one time away from the heat and the daily hustle, full of perfect weather, fresh air, and... Disneyland.

Since this isn't a travel blog, I'll spare you the full trip report. But from a wellness perspective, here's a little round-up of the highs and lows.

Some Magical Moments:

  • I found more clean snack options at the airport than ever before. We swapped regular M&Ms for Unreal Gems, pricier, yes, but for my dye-sensitive kid, absolutely worth it.

  • Disney was incredibly clean, and even on a busy day we could always find a quieter corner to decompress and catch our breath.

  • Disneyland is so much more manageable than Disney World. We hit all the age-appropriate rides with minimal wait times after springing for the Lightning Pass (~$30/person). It also included photos taken by their park photographers, best money spent on the whole trip.

  • The rest of our time was with family at their new place in Orange County. We spent most of it outside with the doors and windows open — and no bugs. I don't even understand how that works. I love Houston deeply, but I won't pretend I’m not jealous.

Some Messy Moments:

  • Traveling solo as the only parent, I did a poor job managing my own nutrition and paid for it with a mid-afternoon headache at Disney. As humbling as it was, I was nervous about being alone and not feeling well — so I took myself to First Aid, laid down for 30 minutes with an ice pack and some AC, and let a kind nurse take care of me. I hated losing part of our day, but I'm genuinely proud that I listened to my body and asked for help.

  • Healthy food options inside the park were limited, though we did find a fruit and juice stand, and Once Upon a Farm had a great little snack stand for kids.

Grateful for the time to spend with my family this summer and holding onto these memories as I fight cybercrime!

Why This Collagen Works Faster Than the Rest 🧜‍♀️

For decades, beauty has focused on quick fixes: what you put on your skin. But the most radiant glow, strongest hair, and healthiest aging begin from within.

Introducing Pique's Carrara Marine Collagen, a true breakthrough in beauty. This first-of-its-kind formula combines Type I marine collagen for visible radiance with rare Type II collagen from wild Hokkaido salmon to support deeper structural resilience. Enhanced with biotin and micronized pearl powder, Carrara helps promote smoother, more luminous skin, stronger hair and nails, and whole-body vitality.

Designed for superior absorption, you'll see results faster than with traditional collagen. Its rich coconut cream base transforms your daily routine into something indulgent. More ritual than supplement, it elevates even your morning coffee or matcha.

This is collagen, completely reimagined. Not just glow but structure. Not just results but longevity. A new foundation for beauty, built from within. 🧜‍♀️
